Announcing the Celsi, Bragg & Maitland UK 2018 tour! Starting in Woodstock, ending up in the western wilds of Scotland, this year’s Summer of Love road trip covers 20 dates in 30 days.

We’re changing things up a bit this time round with some stellar special guests! Joining us onstage at select shows will be Tony Poole (of Starry-Eyed & Laughing and the highly acclaimed Bennett Wilson Poole) and from Chicago, USA, composer/multi-instrumentalist (and my very own son!) Ivan Pyzow.  Filling in for Duncan Maitland on some of the gigs we have Robyn Gibson (of The Junipers) and Neil Sturgeon (of The Goldenhour and the Infomaniacs)! And along the way, we’ll be sharing the night with some of our favorite UK artists – Bob of the Pops, Kontiki Suite, Dropkick and The Wellgreen.

CELSI/BRAGG/MAITLAND - SHORT PROMO:

Anny Celsi & Nelson Bragg with Duncan Maitland:
Los Angeles pop-rockers Anny Celsi and Nelson Bragg team up with Dublin’s Duncan Maitland to form a high-energy, high-flying trio.  It’s beatnik cool, rainyday sunshine pop: Brill Building hooks, Byrds-y harmonies and Beatle-esque psychedelia!

Celsi, Bragg & Maitland will be following up their 2017 "50th Summer of Love" tour of the UK with an 18-city tour in August-September, 2018.  Joining them on many of the UK dates will be the legendary Tony Poole of England's own Starry-Eyed & Laughing!

CELSI/BRAGG/MAITLAND - LONG PROMO:

Anny Celsi & Nelson Bragg with Duncan Maitland: From Los Angeles – pop-Americana artists Anny Celsi and Nelson Bragg team up with Dublin’s Duncan Maitland to form a high-energy, high-flying  trio.  It’s Brill Building hooks, Byrds-y harmonies and Beatle-esque psychedelia!  Celsi’s style has been described as “beatnik cool,” “pop-noir,” and “slightlydelic pop jangle,” with comparisons to Suzanne Vega, Jackie DeShannon and Chrissie Hynde. While Bragg’s day job for 14 years was percussionist-vocalist with The Brian Wilson Band, between tours he also found time to release two critically acclaimed albums of his own, most notably “Day Into Night.”  Maitland has plied his 12-string with pop heroes Picturehouse, Pugwash and XTC.  His “Lullabies for the 21st Century” is “a trip through the acid-tinged English foothills of rainyday sunshine pop.”

Steel Derrick Records has released Celsi, Bragg & Maitland: The Road to Glasgow.  The album is a celebration of their past and future adventures touring in the UK, with new songs from all three writers, previously unreleased covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Paul Kelly, Gary Clark and Peter Holsapple, and a few choice tunes recorded live at Glasgow's Elba Sessions during their 2011 tour.
"...an album that somehow captures that magical time when vocal harmonies, sweet melodies, memorable songs and psychedelic overtones gave birth to the L.A.'s Byrds and London's Fairport Convention." -
